The Next Person You Meet in Heaven: A Sequel to The Five People You Meet in Heaven
We were on both sides of her in her little bed and we held her and literally until her final heartbeat. I like to think that we didn't lose a child. We were given a child and I like to think that she didn't lose a life. She was given one and at least in the last couple years she had what she always wanted which was a de facto, Mommy and Daddy on both sides of her. - Mitch Albom
Every Life Matters, and Can Affect the World
Wilbur Award Acceptance, 2019 I am very pleased -- and very grateful -- to announce that The #NextPerson You Meet in Heaven is a 2019 Wilbur Award Winner for Fiction. The Wilbur Awards are presented annually by the Religion Communicators Council to secular media – print and online journalism, book publishing, broadcasting, and motion pictures – that bring religious issues and spiritual themes into the public discourse. I wasn't able to attend the event last week, but I sent my thank yous with this video. I'm glad to share it here with you folks as well. - Mitch Albom (via https://www.facebook.com/MitchAlbom/)
